Overview

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST), Vadapalani, formerly known as SRM University, is a campus of SRM IST, Kattankulathur, Chennai (deemed-to-be University). Established in 2011, SRM IST Vadapapalani has a sprawling campus of over five acres land and offers UG and PG programmes in multiple streams such as Engineering, Science, Business & Management Studies, IT & Software, Commerce and Accounting.

With a university learning experience, it conducts its own entrance exams namely SRMJEEE and SRMJEEM for admission and has brought together creativity and innovation in its teaching pedagogy with its global partnerships.

This institute has educational collaborations with international universities and colleges in USA, UK, Korea, New Zealand and Switzerland such as MIT, Carnegie Mellon, UC Davis, Warwick and Western Australia.

To treat all the students equally from all the campuses of SRM IST, this deemed University holds a centralised placement process at the Kattankulathur campus where students from all SRM ISTs are offered placements together.
