P.B. College of Engineering popularly known as PBCE Chennai is a Padmavathy Balaji Educational Trust initiative and was founded in 2002. The college is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college offers undergraduate programmes in the field of Engineering. There are eight departments offering BE/ BTech programmes under different specialisations. The college is considered one of the best Aeronautical Engineering Colleges in Chennai and the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering was given fifth rank status by Anna University during their inspection in 2009.

PB College of Engineering conducts various seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and symposiums from time to time during the academic year. It also has well-equipped infrastructure including labs, library along with highly experienced faculty.
