Kathir College of Engineering was established in the year 2008 under the sponsorship of Lamika Educational and Charitable Trust in order to motivate and innovate students in the field of technology and technology. It is co-ed engineering and technology institute which is also specialized in business administration programme.  The college campus is situated on 14 km away from city and 4 kms from Coimbatore Airport. College is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is approved by AICTE.
