International Maritime Institute, [IMI] Noida is an ISO 9001:2008 certified college, which was established in the year 1991. It is affiliated to DG Shipping, Govt. of India. It is graded as 'A1' by RINA and is approved by AICTE. It is one of the pioneers in providing education in the field of Marine Engineering. This was the first private institute in Northern India to impart pre-sea training to merchant navy cadets.

IMI Noida graded A1 'Outstanding' by Indian Register of Shipping is conducting a whole range of Pre-Sea, Post-Sea Courses approved by the Directorate General of Shipping under the Ministry of Shipping. The A1 Grading from the Indian Registrar of Shipping is the highest certification being granted by Shipping to maritime training institutes in the country as per norms laid out by the DG Shipping.

The IMO, ISO, ISM & STCW regulations give quality training & certification of sea personnel for safer ships. IMI is equipped with the latest shipboard working instrumentation and maritime teaching systems and a marine workshop and it maintains a close collaboration with the maritime industry.
