Overview

Doon University offers various multi-disciplinary programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level in diverse streams of education, such as Science, Mass Communication, Languages, Social Sciences, Management, Technology and Design. The University aims at promoting high-quality education to both the rural and urban areas of Dehradun and Uttarakhand

Spread across an area of 52 acres, Doon University offers a scenic campus with state-of-art infrastructure, well-maintained classrooms, computer labs, seminar halls, an auditorium and much more. It was initially established as a residential University and students were expected to stay inside the hostel unless permitted otherwise. However, it changed itself to the day-cum-residence University in 2013. Also, to support the cause of high-quality education, the University offers a well-stocked library with both print and electronic books, 40 print journals, 34 magazines along with 30 e-journals subscribed by the library. Doon University Dehradun also has an access to 5,000 e-journals through Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) consortia.
